Dust off your quill and get creative for the second year of our poetry competition inspired by Matariki. With this rich cultural theme it’s a great opportunity to explore te reo Māori. The competition is now open and we encourage all ages to enter under the categories of Primary, Secondary or Adult. Entries will be accepted until 20 June 2018, and you can either drop into Kaikohe Library for an entry form or email your poem to kaikohelibrary@fndc.govt.nz. Local poets Isabella Pomare and Christian Martin will be announcing the winners at the library on Friday 22 June.
